New Blog Layout

I worked for a little bit creating a layout that reflected my personal “web style” and wasn’t a pre-packaged Blogger special. This is the outcome and though it’s not final, it’s pretty damn close. I need to tweak the bottom area a tad, but I’m really enjoying the color scheme, background, and size.

I’d appreciate any feedback about it, especially from Windows users. If something looks off, let me know so I can fix it up straight away. Let the comments fly!

I really enjoy a good logo, especially one created with nothing more than typography. Here’s one I’ve been working on just for me. All feedback is appreciated and encouraged. (Click for a larger image)

If you don’t know how to use 1) a Mac and 2) Photoshop by the time you’re in your second quarter, YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KILL YOURSELF AND THEN DROP OUT (not necessarily in that order)

Jesus, these people keep asking the most ridiculous questions:

1) How do you turn snapping on?
2) How do you undo?
3) How do I make an equal aspect shape?
4) Can you help me?

“Computer Science” is a first quarter class. You don’t learn advanced programming. You just learn how to use Windows and how to use Mac. SIMPLE.

Intro To Photoshop is a first quarter class. Self explanatory.

Stupid people often waste my time / money / patience.

I’ve run out!

Anything I can do at this point to keep myself awake would be fantastic. I was up all night working on my English Comp mid term, writing some journals (also for Comp class), studying for my Digital Typography mid term today, and finishing a Photoshop project for next week. I’m tired as hell, but all that work is done, and now a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

Right now I’m testing driving a fairly new 2Ghz iMac G5 in the video encoding department. I’m just seeing how long it takes to encode various types of things, etc, etc. I must say I am pleased with the results and cannot wait to get one of these bad motherhumpers for myself (with the Intel Core Duo, of course).

I think I’m beginning to run out of things to say on this journal… It’s becoming stagnant, like the water that gathers on top of a pool cover from the rains during the less-frigid winter months. I really need to finish my personal site, it will encompass everything I have to say, offer, and showcase… All in one spot. Then, when the iMac arrives (whenever my lazy ass gets enough money to buy it), I believe a Video Podcast will be in order with special guests, weekly news stories, and more Su Doku than the human mind can logically figure out! GOOOOO ME!

Soon.

Edit at 12:11 PM: Holy shit, I just remembered that I forgot to post about the birthday and Atlantic City! When I wake up this evening I’ll be all over that shit.

about this

So little to say and so much time… Here goes something….

My name is Andrew to everyone who knows me and nothing to the people who don’t. I rarely feel inclined to write about myself and this small text blurb is no exception. I’m a film maker, of sorts. A designer, of sorts. A musician, of sorts. A photographer, of sorts. An armada of etceteras march behind these four generals.

The point I’m trying to make is that I enjoy art in all of it’s forms, and try my best to creatively express myself in every medium I take a liking towards. As always, things like life get in the way of being a non-stop idea factory, but that life is something that I’m thoroughly enjoying at the moment.

It consists of my beautiful girlfriend who I am very much in love with, a job that pays me well to do work that I would otherwise be doing for free, and a family and friends that I wouldn’t trade the world for. It’s safe to assume that I’m walking on air/over water/atop mountain peaks (pick one… hell, pick all three).
