For Crying Out Loud

So it’s come to my attention that a lot of people don’t know that I have a job now. I guess I didn’t necessarily announce it because I didn’t want to jinx myself, but I think it’s safe to say that after a few days of work I’m really digging the new place. Also, because of the job, you can’t yell at me for not being online at 4am anymore. Those are the rules. I traded in my insanely liberal ways in lieu of some structure in my life.

Background Info: The company is Intuit Solutions, one of the premiere hosting companies/Pro Stores resellers in Philly. In case you’re unfamiliar, Pro Stores is just an easy solution to simultaneously sell your merch on a business website and Ebay. I’m in the design/development department and picking up more responsibility by the hour. I like the job because it’s a relatively easy-going atmosphere with good people and good tunes. I’ve done a bit of design work thus far, interacted with some clients, and tomorrow I’ll be setting up my first store online (exciting, but in that nerdy way). Things are going great and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this job will be a keeper (at least for a while).

Other than that there’s not much to say. Been hanging out with Jackie a lot, watching movies, getting into some new music, and being in a jolly, Christmas-y mood. I really can’t wait until the big day gets here, I’m psyched. I have some good gift ideas, and with a bit of luck I’ll have ample funds to get people everything they need.

On a related note, this is post #300!. I’ve decided to do something really cool for the next post. I’m thinking something along the lines of “I’m GREAT! The Best Of Gorm: Over 300 Posts And Counting, A Biopic.” as a title. We’ll see, it’s still in the development phases. That’s all for now.

    YAY!

300 baby! ;) and for the job of course…but you know how I feel about you in regards to your talents (i.e. - they would have been retarded if they didn’t hire you).

    I like your face… :D

    1. I did not yell at you. It was meant to be taken as a joke. I understand that not everyone can be online at 4am to talk to me. I just kind of missed ya and well, you started a new job that I knew nothing about.

    2. congrats on the job.

I can’t wait until finals are over, but when they are we are partying up big time until the big X-MAS comes. VERY EXCITING…but first I have to wait until Thursday at exactly 1 PM. Get ready. It’s coming.

    Katharsis.

comment: 300 posts is a lot. you could use it to write the first chapter of your autobiography. So far, an interesting read…

about this

So little to say and so much time… Here goes something….

My name is Andrew to everyone who knows me and nothing to the people who don’t. I rarely feel inclined to write about myself and this small text blurb is no exception. I’m a film maker, of sorts. A designer, of sorts. A musician, of sorts. A photographer, of sorts. An armada of etceteras march behind these four generals.

The point I’m trying to make is that I enjoy art in all of it’s forms, and try my best to creatively express myself in every medium I take a liking towards. As always, things like life get in the way of being a non-stop idea factory, but that life is something that I’m thoroughly enjoying at the moment.

It consists of my beautiful girlfriend who I am very much in love with, a job that pays me well to do work that I would otherwise be doing for free, and a family and friends that I wouldn’t trade the world for. It’s safe to assume that I’m walking on air/over water/atop mountain peaks (pick one… hell, pick all three).
